Dr. George H. Payne, II Medical Humanities Scholarship

The George H. Payne II, MD, Medical Humanities Scholarship fund was established by his mother, Peggy Payne, in 2018. Going forward, the fund will provide one or more scholarships to students who are enrolled in UNO’s College of Arts & Sciences. Eligible students will be pursuing a degree in the UNO Medical Humanities program—either the Minor or Major in MH. Additional preference may be given to students who are pursuing a major in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature in UNO’s College of Arts & Sciences, specifically those students who are pursuing a major in French or Spanish. An ideal candidate is a Foreign Languages and Literature major with a Minor in Medical Humanities. Complete the General Scholarship Application to be considered.
