Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 279 Scholarship

The Vietnam Veteran’s of America Chapter 279 Scholarship is awarded to regularly enrolled undergraduate students as follows:

1. First preference shall be given to candidates who are honorably discharged Vietnam veterans of the U.S. Armed Services.
2. Second preference shall be given to direct descendants of honorably discharged Vietnam veterans of the U.S. Armed Services.
3. Third preference shall be given to candidates who are honorably discharged veterans of the U.S. Armed Services.
4. Candidates shall have an accumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
5. Preference shall be given to candidates who are permanent residents of the State of Nebraska.
6. Financial need shall not be a criterion in making this award.
