UNO Kasher Scholars Program for Physics

The Jack Kasher Scholarship Program for Physics at UNO (Kasher Scholars) was developed to provide a small, cohort-style learning environment for high-achieving students in physics. The scholarship program provides on-campus room and board, UNO fees, as well as unique mentoring experiences. Based on academic performance and program engagement, the scholarship is renewable for up to four-years.

Application requirements include:
• A major in physics (additional majors encouraged)
• Demonstrated proficiency in high school physics and mathematics subjects and participation in high school physics and mathematics programs.
• A minimum ACT composite score of 30
• Graduated in the top 25% of their high school class or have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Eligible applicants will be invited for a brief interview with the Kasher Scholarship Program Committee in February.

Note: The Kasher Scholarship Program is ideally combined with the Regents Scholarship. Recipients of the Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarship Program (Scott Scholars) may not accept both awards.
