Forward Together

The Forward Together Scholarship is for students who meet the criteria below and are seeking an undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska Omaha (UNO). Students who qualify may be eligible to receive a renewable full tuition, fees, and books scholarship for up to five (5) years, three (3) years for transfer students, or until an undergraduate degree is earned, whichever comes first.

To qualify for this scholarship, a student must meet all the following eligibility criteria and submit the application and materials by the deadline.

  • Pursuing any major at UNO
  • Qualify for Nebraska resident tuition under Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 85-502(9). In accordance with Title 8, Section 1623 of the U.S. Code, candidates who are citizens or nationals of the United States and qualify under Neb. Rev. Stat. Section 85-502(9) shall be eligible for this scholarship if they meet other criteria herein.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills and academic achievement.
  • Preference shall be given to candidates who have demonstrated financial need.

The Federal Student Aid Estimator provides an early estimate of what the student’s federal student aid could be by using some initial data that the student provides. This can help the student make decisions about college or career school. This process will ensure that students who have high financial need are considered.
