David L. LaMar Memorial Scholarship

The David LaMar Memorial Scholarship was created to commemorate David’s lifelong passion of flying airplanes. For such a young person David was very decorated in his field. David was not only a student but also an instructor. At the age of 22, David, and two of his students, died in a plane crash in December of 1995. Eligible candidates must be enrolled full-time majoring in Aviation in the Aviation Institute. Additional criteria includes being a sophomore or above with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 who have obtained a Private Pilot license and be pursuing advanced flight certificates/ratings while demonstrating an interest in a career as a professional pilot.
