UNO TEACHER SCHOLARS ACADEMY

The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences is looking for the Fall 2026 cohort of teacher candidate scholars, and we encourage you to apply. The UNO Teacher Scholars Academy is a select group of high-achieving teacher candidates who embody leadership qualities, academic excellence, and commitment to teach in Nebraska for 4 years.

  1. Many of the scholarship opportunities guarantee employment by the Omaha Public Schools. I understand if I am accepted into the UNO Teacher Scholars Academy, I will commit to teaching in the state of Nebraska and/or teaching in the Omaha Public Schools upon exiting, at a minimum, equal to the number of years in the TSA program.
  2. Please talk about your expectations for being part of a cohort, both from your perspective and the perspective of the cohort program.
  3. Video response required-Why do you want to be selected as a TSA Scholar?
